I am currently employed in the manufacturing sector and am the lead man for my section.  My duties include purchasing of stainless steels, dies, grinding wheels for the centerless grinder, and tooling for the thread rolling section. Also I set up, run, and repair all the thread rolling equipment. I consider myself a hands on and get it done person.

 For the stainless steel purchases I have been getting competitive bids for usually a three month supply to be shipped in lots of various quantities. I have found it best not to set delivery date but to have material shipped upon request for the most used diameters. I have seen a 20% drop in the cost of steel as a result using competitive bids. To track orders of stainless steels I have created a MS Access database which can show me on time delivery, a history of the cost, and inventories. Also I use this database to keep an inventory of about 400 sets of dies.

 I am familiar with computers, and am familiar with Oracle, Microsoft Excel and Access, Word, FrontPage (this site was created using Front Page) I also am also familiar with inspection and documentation with Excel. From Access I can create Excel spreadsheets or reports.
